Project overview
The Newt in Somerset is a stunning country estate with beautiful gardens, farmland, and woodlands. The historic Georgian buildings have been the home of the Hobhouse family for over 200 years. They offer innovative design, fresh produce, scenic walks, excellent service, and a spa with a garden fragrance. The estate produces fresh food and pantry items, sourcing ingredients locally and using traditional artisan methods. From crusty sourdough bread to zesty jams, matured cheeses, and slow-reared meats, they celebrate the best of Somerset's heritage. They also offer wines, oils, and citrus from their sister estates.
What did Pastorfrigor install?
Pastorfrigor was tasked with providing equipment that met the client's high standards and aligned with the aesthetics of the shop. We designed a bespoke chilled cheese island with a marble and Oak finish, crafted in Italy and finished in the UK. The meat counter was carefully chosen to fit seamlessly into a pre-designed ambient counter. For the back wall, we installed the Pastorkalt Filip cabinet with bespoke ticket edging for an artisan and industrial feel, working closely with Resolution Interiors for a perfect fit.
What were the results?
What was achieved in this beautiful farm shop on the estate is staggering, the overall finish and feel of the shop is out of this world and we feel our contribution in the design and supply of equipment really compliments the superb shop fitting and build of this space.
The multi-decks and the counters are all running off an energy efficient Daikin system on the roof for added energy savings and reliability.
